Will Smith skydived over Palm Jumeirah Dubai and he thinks it’s the most awesome experience of his life.

The type of skydive he did is called the Tandem Skydive. You’re tethered on a professional skydiver who does all the work such as deciding when to release the parachute and releasing it. This skydive is a free-fall and Will Smith dropped over the height of 14,000 feet from the ground. The dive was managed by Skydive Dubai and was done over Palm Jumeirah, the artificial island which is home to Atlantis, The Palm.

He says, “Skydiving is a really interesting confront[ation] with fear.”

He says upon the decision to skydive you and your friends are ecstatic but on getting home you develop a second thought and become doubtful. Do you really want to do this? They were drunk also, right? That night, you keep imagining you jumping over the great height, and you get terrified. You ask yourself why you would do that.

On the D-Day, before the actual jump, he says you’re looking out down to death. But during the jump, in one second you realize it’s the most blissful experience of your life… You realize that the point of maximum danger is the point of minimum fear. He said you’d question yourself why you ever feared the night before the event. He was inspired to say that God placed the best things in life on the other side of fear.
