Jumbo is one of the UAE’s top online shop for electronics. Founded by the late Mr. M R Chhabria in 1974 — some 45 years ago — it has evolved and has become a company to be reckoned with. At the outset, it was only a brick and mortar retailing enterprise. Today, it is now a fully-fledged corporate, an electronic shop and boasts omnichannel retail experience which allows of seamless shopping. Thus, its existence has heralded a revolution in the UAE, transforming it’s consumer electronics landscape.
Jumbo might be said to be state-of-the-art or top-notch. Through its “Click n Collect”, you can order a product online to pick it at any Jumbo shop anywhere in the UAE. You will receive an email/SMS notification when your order is ready for pickup at your chosen location. It’s a great way to bypasss the queue. When you order a product to be delivered to you, they have the technology to track the progress of the delivery of your product. To do this, sign in to your account with them.
Jumbo boasts merchandise across the categories of mobiles, computers and tablets, cameras, gaming, headphones and speakers, personal grooming, accessories, appliances and big boys’ toys. JumboSalama is more like an insurance policy geared towards protecting products you bought from Jumbo. Here’s how it works.

You can only claim JumboSalama twice for a product in two years. Please note that only accidental physical damage is eligible for the benefits of JumboSalama and the JumboSalama package is valid only in the UAE. Although, there’s a JumboSalama package for Indians, namely JumboSalama India. With it, smartphones and tablets you buy in the UAE get an extended warranty coverage across India.
JumboExchange is a program which lets you exchange you pre-loved gadget for an exchange value. Here’s how it works. Visit any Jumbo store with the gadget (say a mobile phone, a laptop, an iPod, a tablet, a smartwatch, an MP3 player or a Mac) you want exchanged. Meet one of their personnel for the purpose. Your gadget would be evaluated. And, you’d be given a voucher against your gadget for your next purchase.
Whatever order made online is eligible for free delivery in the UAE. And, Jumbo seems not to be delivering orders outside the UAE. For most of the products and services, you can pay on delivery. If your product is a “delivery and installation” (D&I) product, they deliver and install it free.

If you’re not satisfied with a particular product delivered to you at your order, you can make a return within five after the receipt of it, although you’d be charged with a pick up fee which would be deducted from the refund. If the product you’re returning must be accepted, it must be in tact as received. Whatever add-on that came with it or in it must be returned with it. Further, a copy of the invoice should be sent along with the product. Once the product you’ve returned has been accepted, you’d get your refund in the purchase credit card account, or in form of Jumbo credit/vouchers.
