German Airline Lufthansa To Resume Flights to Dubai

German Airline Lufthansa to resume flights to Dubai. This follows Dubai’s decision to receive global flights and visitors conditionally. After its decision, British Airways was about the first to show its plan to start patronizing Dubai again. The German airline is set to operate its first flight from Frankfurt to Dubai on the 5th of July, while the official date for general flights is 7th of July.

From the 5th, Lufthansa plans to operate three return flights, weekly, from Germany, its hub, to Dubai. Flights are to leave Dubai on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and return to the UAE on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Economy class return fares from Dubai to Frankfurt start from AED2,295.

The airline has implemented new flying rules to help protect passenger and crew from Coronavirus.

These rules include social distancing, compulsory wearing of face masks and gloves. Face masks and gloves must be worn at airports and through out all flights. Travelers should also be aware that most carry-on luggage has been restricted, but can be checked-in free of charge with hold luggage.

Lufthansa advises passengers traveling to Dubai to download the Covid-19 DXB smart app on to their mobile phones and to fill out a health declaration from when entering and leaving the UAE, as required by the UAE government. You should read up the requirements for those entering Dubai in this pandemic time.

TheNational.ae writes that: For outbound passengers, arrival at Dubai International Airport is advised four hours ahead of flight times, but not earlier. Passengers should also reconfirm which terminal flights are departing from before traveling to the airport.

British Airways, Air France and KLM had also announced that they will begin flying passengers into the emirates in July.
