The Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai is one of the most colorful and gorgeous waterparks in the world, as it overlooks the Burj Al Arab. The water park features 30 distinct water attractions, including the 32-meter-high Jumeirah Sceirah slide, the Wipeout and Riptide fake surf rides, and the 18-meter-high waterfall. The park is based on Arabian folklore, including the narrative of Juha, or Nasreddin, a philosopher who appears in tens of thousands of tales. It’s open from late October to mid-April and contains international concerts, rides, eating, and activities. It’s on the outskirts of Dubai, so don’t expect to fit it into a city-focused day, but if you have the time and are interested in some international shopping and entertainment, it’s worth a visit.

Tickets are necessary and can be purchased in advance online or at the venue.
